Goals

Starting from the concept of values in the company, and the positioning of the company in the socio-economic context, the need for innovation in the company is explained; the positioning of Research and Development within the framework of an innovation strategy is underlined.

Students will be made aware of the process of creativity and put in a situation to become aware of the underlying psychological blockages. Creativity techniques will be discussed, and in particular an introduction to TRIZ. Some notions of industrial design are also discussed.

  1. Different approaches to creativity. Problem solving method (TRIZ method): concepts and tools.

Level 1: Activity contextualised through environmentally sustainable development and social responsibility and/or supported by examples, exercises, applications.

DD&RS level 1

Activity contextualised through environmentally sustainable development and social responsibility and/or supported by examples, exercises, applications.

Programme elements related to sustainable development goals

Case studies on the improvement of technical systems through the application of creativity methods. Reduction of resources drawn from the environment, reduction of GHG emissions.
