Goals

This course deals with the ethical issues related to the status of engineers and, more broadly, posed by contemporary technology. Ethics is a normative reflection that bears on the question: "how to act well?" and which questions human responsibility, whether personal, professional or even collective. By focusing on the dilemmas specific to engineers as well as the main currents of ethics in philosophy, this course proposes to introduce major philosophical distinctions in order to allow students to deliberate more distinctly.
