Goals

The aim of this training module is to equip students with the skills required to produce high-quality technical and scientific reports, notably:

  • the ability to structure a technical or scientific document in a coherent and logical manner;
  • the capacity to identify relevant sources, synthesise them effectively, and reference them appropriately within the document;
  • proficiency in the key conventions and best practices of scientific writing;
  • competence in using digital tools and information portals dedicated to research and bibliographic management.

Programme

  1. Training in tools and best practices for technical and scientific writing (including a 2-hour session led by the staff of the Michel Serre Library, Centrale Lyon)
  2. Literature review project. The topic will be defined in consultation with the course coordinator and selected to ensure its relevance to the student’s final-year internship within the master's programme.
