1- Measure the major energy issues from a physical angle 2- Analyze at the macroscopic scale the links between fundamental physics, thermodynamics and major issues
PART I - Basic elements on energy: definition, fundamental principles of thermodynamics, reminder of fundamental physics. PART II - Focus on the 4 fundamental interactions: microscopic / macroscopic links, the 6 principles of energy. PART III - Our dependence on fossils: climate change, carbon cycle, greenhouse gases, human responsibility for the excess CO2, the IPCC and its report, carbon sinks, feedback loop. PART IV - Renewable energies: storage issue, negaWatt scenario, carbon accounting, carbon footprint, ADEME 2050 scenarios
A substantial part of the activities is dedicated to environmentally sustainable development and social responsibility.
