Introduction

This option aims to provide a multi-disciplinary training in chemistry-biology-physics to engineering students to understand the recent and future applications in bio-engineering (or life sciences engineering) and nanotechnologies. The skills acquired during the 2-year generalist engineering curriculum will be completed by fundamental knowledge in micro- and opto-electronics, in photonics, in nanoscience and in biology. The interaction between these different disciplines will be illustrated through various examples: microsensors, functional materials, systems on chips, medical imaging, biomateriels, big data,... The engineering students issued from this training will be main contacts to lead projects at the interface of these different disciplines.

Requirements

2 compulsory MOS to be chosen depending on BIO or NANO cursus: MOS 1.5:"Thin films and functionalized surfaces" MOS 6.1: "Tissue engineering and biomaterials" MOS 6.3: "Microsensor, microsystem, microfluidics" MOD: depends on the selected cursus, some MOD are in equivalence with master courses.

Career opportunities
