Before starting on experimental research, it is essential to be familiar with the state of the art, so as to correctly position the object of the research and the scientific question. Scientific and technological watch, selection of relevant references and writing a synthesis are essential skills to acquire, particularly in the fast-changing environment of biomedical research. Assessment of the three personal reviews on the internship topic is based equally on the documents provided and the ability to present and defend them orally.
This UE is based on the writing of 3 mini-reviews of the literature, each positioned in a different thematic field specific to the multidisciplinary nature of biomedical engineering (medical imaging, signal and image processing, medical devices, biomaterials, etc.) and answering a precise question relevant to recent scientific literature and the Master 2 internship topic. An initial 3-hour tutorial introduces students to research strategies and the range of tools available for advanced bibliographic research. 3 practical sessions (max. 15 students) are proposed to deal individually with certain queries:
The activity focuses on environmentally sustainable development and social responsibility.
