To acquire the basics of chemistry allowing the modeling of the reactions used in the production of energy.
Programme
- General chemistry and basics of stoichiometry, reaction advancement, basics of kinetics chemical (Arrhenius law), introduction to heterogeneous catalysis.
- Thermochemistry, enthalpies of reactions, notions of calorific powers.
- Combustion, flames, concept of richness, nature of reaction products and pollution: NOx, SOx, H2S,...
- Electrochemistry, electrode potentials, electrochemical kinetics, application to fuel cells and batteries.
