Goals

This course proposes an introduction to Hydrogen as an energy vector by means of several activities which permit to discover by simulation the operating principles and the sizing of energy systems based on Green Hydrogen (fuel cell, electrolysis, storage...)

Programme

Introduction to Hydrogen as an energy vector Practical activities : fuel cell principles, fuel cell modeling (Matlab/Simulink), fuel cell energy management using power electronics (Simulink), aeration of a hydrogen storage unit (Matlab), sizing of an PV-H2 energy system for a standalone disctrict (Simulink)

Sustainable development

Level 2: A substantial part of the activities is dedicated to environmentally sustainable development and social responsibility.

DD&RS level 2

A substantial part of the activities is dedicated to environmentally sustainable development and social responsibility.

Programme elements related to sustainable development goals

introduction to Hydrogen as an energy vector (challenges for mobility and stationary applications), sizing of a PV - Battery - Green Hydrogen system for standalone (off-grid) locations
