Goals

This course is only accessible to students in the "Buildings & Infrastructure (BI)" cursus of the "Ecological Transition & Territories (TET)" option, as well as M2 Civil Engineering students. It aims to provide scientific and technical tools beforehand to quickly grasp and contribute significantly to the option project carried out in collaboration with ENSAL. This course also enables advancement in certain track courses to become operational more quickly on the option project.

Programme elements related to sustainable development goals

Designing timber structures as a substitute for reinforced concrete, a construction technique with high greenhouse gas emissions. Environmental standards in construction require decreasing environmental thresholds, necessitating a shift away from "all-concrete" practices.
