Introduction

The design of complex hardware systems requires the implementation of specific engineering procedures, based on a systemic vision and a collaborative approach. These procedures, which utilize modern simulation, communication, and decision-support tools, address several key requirements: robustness, time-to-market, and cost. This module presents the fundamental concepts of Systems Engineering and associated Collaborative Tools, as well as the main modeling and analysis tools, illustrated with concrete examples (automotive, rail, aeronautics, civil engineering, industrial equipment, personal equipment, etc.).
