Goals

In a European context of deregulation of electrical energy networks, this teaching is a "condensed" presentation of the production, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, with a minimum of deepening the theory of power lines. We will attempt to address answers to fundamental questions a society heavily dependent on electricity: How to satisfy the demand? Why high voltage networks? What means and strategies (conventional and emerging) for production, transmission and storage of high-power electrical energy? What opportunities, prospects and technical and economic realities, ...?
