Goals

These laboratory classes accompany the theoretical course on Fluid Mechanics and provide physical examples of the flows and phenomena studied in the course. Through these experiments, and the associated reports, students will also learn about experimental design and methods, data analysis and writing scientific reports

Programme

  1. Experimental design How to plan and conduct an experiment, parameter selection, experimental protocol, data acquisition
  2. Measurement techniques in fluid mechanics

Instruments and techniques, advantages and disadvantages 3. Data analysis and reporting

Statistical analysis of experimental data, writing a scientific report 4. Laboratory experiments

A selection of 7 different fluid mechanics experiments from a wide range of existing experiments used in FLE3

Sustainable development

Level 1: Activity contextualised through environmentally sustainable development and social responsibility and/or supported by examples, exercises, applications.
