Objectifs

Upon completion of this course, students shall:

  • Understand the building mechanisms of volumes and surfaces during laser/matter interaction
  • Be able to select the proper temperature measuring instrument to control laser/matter interaction based on optical diagnosis.
  • Be able to propose a complete surface characterization workflow (measuring equipment and strategy, filtering technique, roughness parameters) adapted to an industrial application.
