Objectifs

Introduction to fluid mechanics numerical simulation, in order to be autonomous in inviscid and RANS cases. Use of the software ANSYS Fluent among other ANSYS tools for every step of a numerical study : geometry, mesh, simulation, post-processing. To use knowledge from the fluid mechanics lectures and TD in the context of a numerical study.

Programme

  1. introduction to numerical simulation
  2. Simulation : case set-up and verifications
  3. Main analysis tools
  4. Use of turbulence models
  5. Creating a geometry and a mesh

Modalité du contrôle des connaissances

Évaluation de l’étude faite par groupe : rapport (50%) ; présentation (40%) ; questions posées aux autres groupes et discussion.(10%)
